The Commission Process

Creating a commissioned oil painting is a collaborative and personal experience. From the first conversation to the moment your finished painting arrived, I want the process to feel thoughtful, exciting and effortless.

"Allison is one of those rare artists who not only hears your ideas but sees them instantly. She brings multiple artistic concepts to the table, executes each design with skill and imagination, and treats every project with genuine care. Her eye for framing and decor is just as impressive-she makes sure each piece feels intentional and beautifully integrated into your home. Her artwork is so special and personal for us; it has become a timeless collection piece that now feels part of our family history."

Allison made the entire process of creating this Christmas surprise for my mom so easy. She completely understood what I was envisioning, helped me with everything from the size to the perfect frame, and even had it beautifully wrapped for Christmas. Allison is incredibly talented and such a wonderful person to work with! -Private Collector, New Hope, Pennsylvania

Initial Consultation

Please contact me to share your vision, along with any reference photos, and we will schedule a call to discuss the project. Commissions typically take two to three months, depending on the size and complexity of the work and the drying time between stages.

2

Concept Development & Reservation

Together we will define the composition, color palette, size and final pricing, and I will provide a sketch of the finished composition for your approval. A non-refundable deposit secures your place on my schedule.

3

Progress Updates

Throughout the process, I will send progress photos so you can follow the painting from its earliest stages through the final details.

4

Final Approval & Delivery

Upon completion, I will send a photo of the finished painting for your approval, at which point the remaining balance is due. Once final payment is received, the painting is varnished, allowed to dry fully, professionally packaged and shipped directly to you.
